Objective
Configure the Domain Controller Server (SVR-01) to be the primary dns server for the network
Allow PCs added to the network to have records added to the DNS
Process
Go to DNS Manager and create a new primary zone
Allow zone replication to DNS servers running on other DCs in the domain
Allow client computers in the domain to register and update their host records
Update the associated ptr records
Conclusion
DNS is now configured on the domain controller
- This will be replicated to other domain controllers that are on the network
- We can test the DNS from our local network client PC-01
